Working with the UI
Operator's interface is built around a few persistent controls that tell the AI who you are talking to (the agent), which ERP.net instance you are working with, and which conversation you are in. Once you know how those three pieces behave, the rest of the app falls into place.
The top bar
From left to right:
- Agent selector — picks the agent (or app / site) that will handle your next message. See Agent Selector.
- Reasoning / model controls — choose the reasoning level for the next message (for example, high or low).
- History — opens the conversation list in a right-hand sidebar. See Conversations & History.
- Notifications — the bell shows an unread badge when background runs finish, executions fail, or someone shares an agent or app with you. See Notifications.
- Instance selector — picks the ERP.net instance connection your messages run against. See Instance Selector.
- User menu — settings, theme, sign-out.
Conversation history
Operator keeps your past conversations in the right-hand sidebar that slides out from the History button. The New button (also in the top bar) starts a fresh chat using your tab defaults (the agent and instance you picked last). Old conversations are read-only with respect to the selectors — opening one shows what was used at the time, but does not change your defaults. See Conversations & History.
The chat area
The main panel shows the active conversation: messages, tool calls, attachments, and the composer at the bottom. The composer carries a few inline controls (attachments, voice, reasoning level) that apply to the next message you send.
Settings and connections
- Settings (user menu) — appearance, language, notifications, default reasoning, and other preferences.
- My Connections — manage every ERP.net instance you can talk to. Covered in Instance Connections.
Where to go next
- Agent Selector — how agents are picked and remembered across tabs.
- Instance Selector — same persistence model, applied to ERP.net connections.
- Conversations & History — the New button, opening old chats, properties, search.
- Instance Connections — the connections behind the instance selector.
